within the ever-growing Valrico
Florida area lies the Bloomingdale Golf community. It
is one of the largest communities in the Tampa Bay area, stretching

lies within a special tax district. Special taxing districts allow
members to share common expenses equitably by adding a special tax
assessment to the property tax bill of each of the district members;
this shared common expense pays for things such as community repairs,
maintenance of common grounds, and improvements. The taxing district
assessment is a mere $100 once a year, which has been the same flat
rate that has been in effect since the special tax district was
founded in the 1980s. Some things that the special tax district
has worked on recently have been the community wide irrigation system,
landscaping, and entry ways.
